An eTA is linked electronically to the passport you used when you applied. If you have since been issued a new passport, there are cases where your existing eTA can no longer be used as it is.
- If your passport number changes, you may need a new eTA
- Before departure, check that your current passport details match the details held on your eTA
- It is safest to make sure the passport details on your flight booking match as well
